Yanga wereofficially crowned the 2023/2024 Tanzania Mainland Premier League winners for the 30th time in their history in a grand ceremony held Saturday on May 25, 2024 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

The team supporters walked and ran, singing songs to congratulate their team’s players for winning their 30th title and mocking their traditional rivals, Simba.

Speech by Yanga President Hersi Said
Yanga president Hersi Saidi assured the fans that all potential players would still be in the team next season.
Additionally He promised to strengthen the team by signing more star players so that the team can continue to win trophies in the Tanzanian Mainland Premier League and perform well in the CAF Champions League. “No star player will leave the club; I assure you that our management will retain all potential players and sign the best for the next league season.
We have two plans: continue to dominate the Tanzanian Mainland Premier League titles, including the Federation Cup, and perform well in the CAF Champions League.
We qualified for the quarterfinals in this year’s edition; In the next edition of the CAF Champions League we want to go further,” said Hersi.
