  • This years festival will kick off in Mtwara with a total of 10 provinces set to play host.

Diamond has finally shown a willingness to bring together his arch-rivals Alikiba and Harmonize for a performance at Mtwara’s Wasafi festival.

The Wasafi supremo made the revelation a fortnight ago during the launch of this year’s Wasafi festival.

According to the Yatapita singer, the time was ripe in bringing all the leading acts on board.

Diamond further disclosed working on a song with Alikiba’s younger brother, Abdukiba who’ll also grace the festival.

Looking For Harmonize’s Replacement

Diamond also said that he was looking to sign an artist from Mtwara which is the hometown of his former signee, Harmonize.

He affirmed that Harmonize is truly gifted and finding another artist from Mtwara would be in Wasafi’s favour.

Indeed, the apple does not fall far from the tree, Mtwara seems to harbor talent as Harmonize’s first signee, Ibraah also comes from Mtwara.

Ibraah’s first Ep album, Steps and his follow up album, King of new school is a true testament of Mtwara’s musical gift.

Ever since Harmonize left Wasafi the two have at loggerheads.

The Konde gang president is on record dropping a song dissing his former boss in the song, Wapo.

“Kama baba na mama ndio nguzo ya dunia wapende wote sio wa kike anacheka wa kiume analialia bila msaada wowote” sang Harmonize partly as he called out Diamond for neglecting his father.

On the other hand, Alikiba has also had a rift with Diamond running over the years.

Recently, the two were engaged in an online spat over supremacy.

Diamond is finally displaying leadership skills as he seeks to have both Alikiba and Harmonize in one set-up.

This year’s Wasafi festival will kick off in Mtwara with a total of 10 provinces set to play host.

Do you believe Alikiba and Harmonize will heed Diamond’s call?
