Diamond Platinumz has tapped Mr. Blue and Jay Melody in “Mapoz” collabo which has been termed as one of the most anticipated collaborations in the history of bongo flava music.

The song Mapoz was originally done by Mr. Blue in his days as a kid star.

Mr. Blue was barely fifteen years when he became a superstar.

It was a smooth lovey-dovey song which remains among the best from the veteran artiste.

However, in todays “Mapoz”, things are quite different.

The beat is groovy unlike the earlier one done by Mr. Blue.

Another major change of aspect lies with Mr. Blue who today has curved his niche as a formidable rapper.

With two highly rated vocalists at disposal, the trio set Jay Melody in the verse and as usual he didn’t disappoint.

Kicking off in his signature ad lib “Jay Once Again” the mellow-voiced singer did justice to the banger.

“Vile napata raha utaniambia nini

Kuna muda kama siamini

Na kuna muda ni ka napendwa na jini

Maana penzi lako ndege mtini” he sings partly.

Coming in the second verse is none other than Wasafi Supremo, Diamond Platnumz.

Critics have since opined that Diamond’s lines in Mapoz are out of this world.

Like his predecessor, Diamond also sings a few borrowed lines from Mr. Blue’s original Mapoz.

“Mi na mapoz na mimi

Mapoz na mimi” he sings partly.

Docking the ship is Mr. Blue who comes put in full throttle.

His lyricism is brought out through his choice of words with an infusion of metaphors and wordplay.

“Ngoja huu ni usiku au mchana hold up! hii ni leo au jana mapoz nami Aah unanikumbusha ujana Roho unavyoirusha ntakuja kufa msichana” he raps partly.
