Who is Dr. Mwanabule?

Hailing from Lamu ,Dr Mwanabule grew up in a poor family but luckily she had the most supportive parents

‘’I’m Dr. Mwanabule Ahmed aka Dr. Bule. A woman from the minority tribe, Bajuni. I come from a very poor family in Faza Island, Lamu headed by my supportive parents who never had the opportunity to go to school

Thankfully, they offered me that opportunity. They took me to Faza Primary School where my hardworking teacher Mr. Kulumba served as an inspiration throughout my primary school life’’ partially read her X Caption

Education Through The Ranks

After her  KCPE she says she received  a calling letter from Mpeketoni Secondary School, but  was unwilling to join because she thought Mpeketoni was too far from home.

Timid girl, She went to Lamu Girls Secondary School instead

But  later completed her  high school education at Faza Secondary School in 1998.

She later  joined  KMTC Nakuru in 2000 & cleared in 2003.

Coming Out Of The Shell

She says she deeply believed she was meant to be more than a clinician

‘’ I believed I can be more than a clinician. So I joined  Kampala International University 2004 to study Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery MBChB and graduated after 6yrs.’’ Further read her caption

Journey to becoming a Surgeon

In 2014, She took a study leave, went to  Moi Univesrity  and came back in 2021 as a General Surgeon.

Currently, She  serves at the Coast General Teaching & Referral Hospital (CGTRH) and Likoni Sub County Hospital (Manyatta).

She hopes her journey lights up a spark to anyone pursuing their dream
