Naira Marley has finally spoken distancing himself from the mysterious death of Mohbad.

According to the music mogul, he was shocked to learn of Mohbad’s untimely demise.

He was further saddened by the subsequent attack and threats against him over Mohbad’s death.

“In the last few days, there has been a lot of onslaught on my person and reputation globally over the death of my former signee. All manner of stories has been woven against me in respect of his untimely death. I have not only been in shock over the death of the deceased whom I considered to be my brother and member of our music family, but over the various lies spread and threats against me” read part of his statement.

No Bad Blood

Naira Marley further disclosed that despite having their own differences with Mohbad, they were in good terms.

He maintained that their friction would never amount to a death wish.

He continued that he had chosen to remain mum so as not to interfere with the ongoing investigations.

Open To Investigations

The Marlian Music president also shared his willingness to cooperate with the police in unearthing Mohbad’s death.

He also refuted claims that he had fled from Nigeria over Mohbad’s demise.

According to him, he has been out of the populous nation since September 31st 2023.

He was therefore ready to travel back home in light of the police investigation and also clear his name.

Naira Marley affirmed that the person fueling the lies has scores to settle with him.

He  termed the  drug and cult allegations as untrue and unfounded.

He summed up by sending Mohbad’s family a bereavement acknowledgement in regard to his untimely passing.
