Born Sooraj Cherakat in Kerala India, he spent his childhood in various countries due to his father’s occupation in a leading oil company.

Influenced By Western Hip hop Culture

Hanumankind kicked off his musical journey in Houston City which boasts of a distinctive Hip hop culture popularly known as “screwed up” remix style inspired by the aftermath of using cough syrup.

He draws his inspiration from Texas Hip hop legends like DJ Screw, UGK and Project Pat.

He dropped out of college where he was studying a Business degree returning to India in 2021.

Previously, he worked at company’s like Goldman and Sach before he realized his passion for music.

He decided to venture into music full-time fusing his Western influence with Indian cultural instrumentation.

When he dropped his hit Big Dawgs in July it went on debuting at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100 with more than 34M streams on Spotify and 111M views on TikTok surpassing Kendrick Lamar and Eminem on the Spotify Global Top 50 chart peaking at #9.

The song’s video was shot with the rapper performing in a maut ka kua (well of death).

It captures daredevil motorcyclists unleashing killer stunts in a massive wooden arena.

The moment also showcases his fans not only enjoying his performance but also the ‘stunt galore’.

With barely a month since its release, the song continues to dominate global music charts with 90M views on You Tube and still counting.
