Confirming the incident, Rift Valley Head of DCI Francis Wanjau revealed that they had confiscated a Ceska pistol from Ngunjiri following the early morning drama.

DPP drops corruption charges against Ngunjiri’s daughter

This incident comes only a few weeks after the Director of Public Prosecutions, Noordin Haji, dropped corruption charges against Edith Kimani, the daughter of Kimani Ngunjiri.

Edith, who is a former Nakuru County Officer for Trade, was charged with embezzlement of public funds in the construction of Kiratina Market in Menengai Ward, Nakuru County.

The shooting incident has sparked widespread condemnation from the public, with many calling for Ngunjiri to be held accountable for his actions.

“President Ruto should take advantage and replace the Lands Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Kimani Ngunjiri after he shot and injured a man in Nakuru. The former MP has since been disarmed. No good image for government at all. Imagine finding the same man in a public office,” @smutoro tweeted.
