Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has once again found himself in the spotlight for his silence within the chambers of Parliament.
According to a recent report by Mzalendo Trust, Sudi is among 15 members of parliament who have yet to utter a single word in Parliament.
This isn’t the first time Sudi has been listed in this group, having been highlighted in previous scorecards of the 12th Parliament for his lack of participation in debates and discussions.

Joining Sudi in this list are other familiar names, such as Makadara MP George Aladwa and Nakuru West MP Samuel Arama, both of whom have also been noted for their lack of verbal engagement in parliamentary proceedings.
The list also includes legislators like Ronald Karauri, the MP for Kasarani, Mohamed Soud representing Mvita, and Paul Chebor of Rongai, who are yet to make their maiden speeches in the Parliament.
Sudi gives conditions that will make him Speak

On the other hand, Makali Mulu ,MP for Kitui Central,Betarice Elachi from Dagoreti North, Seme MP James Nyikal, and Ken Chonga representing Kilifi south have been praised for their active role in the National Assembly
In the Senate, Nandi’s Samson Cherargei has taken the lead among those who rarely speak during sessions, Eddy Oketch from Migori and Laikipia’s John Kinyua also found themselves on this list.

Sudi has previously said that he only speaks English during business deals ad he leaves the matters of the Parliament to those proficient in English, only attending sessions for special duties such as voting on significant bills.
“Those challenging me to speak fluent English should give me a business deal more than 5 million then they will learn how I am good at it.Msinichezee,”
he tweeted.
He has even gone so far as to challenge Kenyans to offer him five million shillings if they wished to witness him speaking fluent English.
