- Trucha is the new AFC Leopards head Coach.
- Trucha will be deputised by Fred Ambani who worked under Juma.
The AFC Leopards have confirmed Czech Republic national Tomas Trucha as their new head coach following the firing of Tom Juma.
Tomas Trucha returns to AFC Leopards after agreeing a two-year long deal with the club that is struggling to find footing in the current season.
The club has lost six matches without a single win.
The UEFA Pro coaching licence holder briefly worked at Leopards late in 2020 before quitting under unclear circumstances even before he could take charge in a competitive match.
Trucha will be deputised by Fred Ambani who worked under Juma who was shown the door early this week becoming the fourth tactician to be relieved of his duties in the top flight this season.
Trucha joins Ingwe after parting ways with Kelantan United of Malaysia and will be tasked with helping the league giants arrest their poor start and bridge the gap between them and log leaders Posta Rangers.
Return of Mangoli as Manager
Meanwhile the club has also announced the return of their former player Bernard Mang’oli as team manager.
“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Haggai Azande, Benard Mang’oli Wanyama and Joshua Caleb Osir, as Goalkeeper Coach, Team Manager and Assistant physiotherapist respectively. The appointment takes effect immediately. They will be joining us for a period of two Years. We wish them the best of luck as they take over their new roles at the club,” the statement by the club reads in part.
“That’s a good move we can’t lose six matches in a row with the same people still sitting at the top the changes are okay.Trucha sio mgeni he understand the ideology, chemistry and spirit of the team we wish him well as he takes control of Ingwe.” James Wafula said.
“AFC Leopards ni timu kubwa hii kuchapwa kila siku imetuchosha kama huyo Trucha ataleta changes then well and good sisi tunataka wins and more goals saa hii tuko vibaya sana hata tusipojichunga tunaweza rudi relegation,’’ another fan commented.
