Bongo Hip hop star William Nicholas Lyimo popularly known as Billnass is the most streamed Bongo Hip hop artist on Boomplay. The Raha rapper affirmed that he’s yet to kick off his musical journey and would be launching it officially on 30th, May 2024 with a new song dubbed Maboss.
“Taarifa kwa umma, sijaanza mziki rasmi bado…Naanza kazi tarehe 30 kesho kutwa…Na wimbo wangu wa kwanza utakuwa unaitwa #MABOSS” he captioned partly.
Taking to his Instagram, Billnass shared a screenshot of the Boomplay chart capturing his massive streams. He had a whooping 81.1Million streams with Darasa following closely with 52.2Million.
Coming in third is none other than Stamina with 23.9M streams. The list continues with a tight chase at position four, five and six held by Young Lunya(20.2Million), Nay Wa Mitego(20.1Million) and Young Killer Msodoki(20.1M).
There’s also a thin gap at the seventh and eighth position as newbie Rapcha(16.8Million) towers over Roma Mkatoliki(16.7Million).

The same trend continues at position nine and ten held by veteran rapper Fid Q(10.2Million) and Country Wizzy(9.8Million) respectively.
Stardom
Billnass rose to fame in 2015 thanks to the single ‘Raha’ a collaborative piece with Nazizi and T.I.D which earned him a nomination at the Kilimanjaro Tanzania Music Awards, New Best Artist.
In 2017, he was named by MTV Base among 50 of the most promising artists in Tanzania.
Fondly referred to as Nenga, Billnass has a unique style that’s evident in nearly all his creations from Chafu Pozi, Ligi Ndogo to Mazoea.
Nenga’s marriage to his celebrity wife, Nandy has also seen him drop some amazing works with her.
