P. Diddy has shocked the world by finally handing back publishing rights to his Bad Boy signed artists.

The artist’s in question are Mase, Faith Evans, The LOX, 112 and  Late The Notorious B.I.G’s  estate.

This is ahead of Diddy’s Bad Boy stable 30th anniversary as well as his upcoming album launch.

Stealing From Artists

For the longest time now, P. Diddy has been accused of stealing from his artists.

When Mase was undergoing a financial turmoil, Diddy owed him millions and so was the late Black Rob.

In fact, Diddy is reported to have denied Mase buying back his publishing rights at $2 million.

Most of the artist’s who’ve worked with Diddy have ended up with a miserable life, save for a few.

His record label, Bad Boy is said to have had a 360 degrees ownership of artists works.

This led artists to lead a dogs life as Diddy drowned in wealth.

According to reliable sources, the deal was reached in May 2021.

Some artists have already signed the deal while others are underway.

Publishing rights ensures that the artist has ownership of his work and draws royalties from it.

However,  details are still scanty bearing in mind some rights have clauses stating that eventually artists own their work.

This happens after a stipulated period with the stable being in the drivers seat.

Despite the noise, Diddy is a shrewd businessman whose mastered his craft over the years.

He’s the second richest hip hop star after Jay Z with a net worth of $1Billion.

His label is behind several multi-platinum singles such as Juicy, Big Poppa and I’ll be missing you.

Also available are Gold singles namely Love Like This and Soon As I Get Home.

The public have since welcomed the move with many still in disbelief.
