“Sisi Ni Wale” hitmaker Phina is back yet again with another inspirational piece dubbed “We Huogopi”.

In the new song, Phina takes us through her conversation with God while lamenting her troubles.

The Bongo songbird notes that she’s walking on thorns with enemies out to finish her. Like she puts it, the hate is too much yet she has nothing to her name.

She has no car not even her own home just a rental space.

However, she asserts that with God’s love she’ll triumph with her name being mentioned in high places.

From walking on feet, Phina sees herself switching lanes on the highway while driving her own car.

“Eh Mungu wangu ona kidogo ulichonijalia mimi, Kuna watu wanakerekwa wanaumia yah, ah Hapo ndio sina hata vyangu naishi nyumba ya kupanga sa nkijenga itakuaje? Wataniwekea sumu wataniua mimi aah” she sings partly.

Not Afraid

As the chorus comes through, ‘We Huogopi’ is heavily repeated to bring out the musicality.

Phina uses ‘We Huogopi’ which loosely translates to not being afraid to affirm her belief in God.

‘We Huogopi’ is further used in the  choruses background.

With her sweet-raspy voice, she apologetically notes that the spears thrown her way have failed to bring her down.

The song’s arrangement also looks superb with the choice of relatable lines and a well-thought rhyme scheme.

“Nalindwa na Sir God, We huogopi, Nipo ngangari na siogopi chochote, We huogopi, ukirusha mshale unadunda, we huogopi” she sings partly.

The choice of the EDM and Zouk touch further adds life while complementing Phina’s voice.

There’s an interval also just left with the instrumentation clanking.

Deep into the second verse, Phina takes a low while still continuing with the onslaught highlighting her lyrical prowess.

Towards the end of the song, Phina drives it back to the boiling point with a repetition of the chorus.
