A Woman has been accused of stabbing her husband to death in their home in Huruma Ngei Mathare constituency,Nairobi County.
The incident transpired on Sunday night at 11pm.
According to the couple’s neighbors, the incident occurred shortly after the couple returned home from a drinking spree.

Tensions escalated quickly to a heated argument that eventually turned tragic.
Frequent Fights

According to neighbors, this is not the first time the couple’s disagreements had taken a violent turn as they are known to engage in frequent fights.
Rispah Atieno, a neighbor, recounted that the woman had previously been arrested for stabbing her husband in another altercation in Mathare.
“Hii kitendo ilifanyika jana saa tano ya usiku wakati bibi yake alikuwa amelewa na yeye pia.ni kama hawakusikizana ndio wakaanza vita…so asubuhi sisi tukasikia tu story ati ameuwa bwanake…si mara ya kwanza anamdunga…amekuwa akifanya hivyo mara mob…akashikwa na akatolewa…lakini hii ya pili haijakuwa sawa..hivyo ndio ameenda,”
Atieno said.
However, her release followed a request from the husband himself.
The woman was apprehended and is currently being held at the John Saga Police Station in Mathare.

The couple share a child together with the woman currently pregnant.
On the other hand, Joel Buku another neighbor expressed deep concern over the tragedy calling on couples to address their issues amicably.
“Sisi sasa kama wanaume hata kama tunakosana na bibi ni vizuri tuite majirani, tukae chini tuongee…mambo ya vita haiwezi ikasaidia,”
He said.
“Sasa watu wakikuwa wanapigana kila mara tutabaki wangapi jameni…..this is not fair…I am not happy,mambo ni kuongea…na huyu mama hii si mara ya kwanza kupiga bwana yake…amezoea sana..leo kimempata,”
he added.
