Ghetto Radio partners with Zenka to light up Kenyatta Market
Zenka is one of the most popular a mobile loan app in Kenya which offers fast loan app solutions without collateral.
It is very flexible, giving Kenyans more control over their finances with its unique features.
Most of the people at Kenyatta Market were familiar with the app and using it. To them, Zenka has been of great financial impact.

“Mimi nimekuwa nikitumia Zenka kutoka kitambo na inanisaidia kupanua biashara na hata sahii niko na mkopo lakini nitalipa tu.” Omuga a trader at the market said.
Ghetto radio created more awareness and helped people download the app successfully. Several got their first loans in less than 10 minutes.
Zenka offered gifts to the new and regular users. Those who registered for the first time and took loans were given Kshs. 1000 each.
“Nimedownload hio app ya Zenka leo imekubali nkakopa one thousand na wakanipea zawadi ya one thousand.Nilikuwa niko down sana leo lakini vile nimepata hio pesa nimefurahi sana.” Achieng, a trader said.
The Concerns
However, there were two rising issues. Most users were being told to wait for seven days until the app accepts their requests.
This could be because the user’s ID card had been used by someone else and so, the data has to be clarified first. People who got the feedback should wait for the seven days then try again.
The other burning issue was loan eligibility. Some users were not eligible for a loan.
Most users who got this feedback should probably check the other loaning apps and confirm whether they have any outstanding loans. If so, they should clear the loans with other loaning apps or agencies then try Zenka.
