Sean Paul was honored by Hip Hop during its 50th Anniversary by being the only dancehall artist to showcase.
Hip Hop is still celebrating 50 years reign and Saturdays event took place at Madison Square Gardens in New York.
The event’s host was singer, Maria Carey with a star studded line up from Mary J Blige, Wu Tang Clan, EPMD, Tyrese, Diddy to Sean Paul.
Hundreds of Hip Hop lovers turned up for the celebrations and had an experience of a lifetime.
Sean Paul has stood out over the years cementing his space in the musical world.
His music cuts across all genres and continues to be enjoyed around the world.
Hip Hop Tailored Set
The Grammy Award winner had his set tailored to match his audience who were diehard Hip Hop lovers.
Among hits performed by Sean Paul were “Temperature” and “Gimme the light” among others.
Sean Paul also gave a sneak peak of his new single “Summa Hot” which threw the crowd in a frenzy.
Speaking to the press after the celebrations, Sean Paul shared his gratitude for being part of the celebrations.

“Tell you the truth, It’s an awesome feeling and I am honored to be the only dancehall artist to be billed on the show, I got a half-hour performance, It meant a lot to me” he said partly.
He also shared on the love between Hip Hop and Dancehall.
The crowd at Madison Square Garden were thrilled with Sean Paul who had tailored his set to suit them.
