Langata Mp Felix Odiwuor popularly known as Jalangoo has distanced himself from the alleged 1 Billion fake gold syndicate.

According to the youthful parliamentarian, he was saddened by the development since his hands are clean.

Jalangoo further was at pains how media built him and was now being used wrongly to tarnish his reputation.

“I woke up the other day and Citizen Weekly in their everyday way decided to write that am part of a 1 Billion, can you imagine 1 Billion, If I had 1 Billion what would I still be doing, So it is very sad that we have rogue media that can just wake up, You know media built me to where I am” stated Jalangoo partly.

Won’t Be Suing The People Involved

Jalangoo disclosed that he had contemplated suing for defamation, However after much thought and advise he decided not to.

He added that the publication is known to run such bogus information and he’s not the first person to face their wrath.

“We were actually planning to sue and everything but I’ve actually been advised that you know what, they thrive in that kind of news, everybody was telling me ‘just sue them, just sue them’ but then I realized they’ve written bad stories about everyone” he continued.

Jalangoo termed it a ploy by the publication to drive its sales.

He also brought to the fore an alleged blackmail towards milking him in a bid to make him pure.

ODM’s Life Member

Jalangoo maintained that he’s an ODM life member despite his recent expulsion from the party.

This was in relation to his ties with the government alongside a bunch of other ODM legislators who were also axed.

He further restrained himself from the matter since its before the courts.

On Eric Omondi and  Andrew Kibe challenging him for the seat in 2027, he assured them of a tight challenge.

A fortnight ago, there was a publication on Jalangoo’s involvement in the ‘fishy business’ alongside two other legislators.

Their modus-operandi involved scamming foreigners in a bid to sell them non-existing gold.

In the end, they would pocket large sums of money with the gold not delivered.
