Football star Kylian Mbappe is rumored to be headed for Chelsea if the current development is anything to go by.

According to reliable sources, talks are at an advanced stage with the goal poacher showing an interest with joining the Blues.

Mbappe is said to be eyeing a 1-year contract at Chelsea so as to be free for a move next season. However, Chelsea is determined to keep the star for a long-term deal.

The French international still has a 1-year period before his contract expires at PSG.

Despite the transfer being in top gear, the two sides are yet to agree on a transfer fee.

Mbappe is yet to commit a long-term deal at PSG neither has he found a new club. However, PSG’s top organ has disclosed giving the former two weeks to sign a new deal or else he will be sold.

During Chelsea’s pre-season tour of the United States, Maurice Pochettino was asked if he would like to reunite with Mbappe and Neymar at Chelsea, but he termed the discussion as ‘delicate’ while hoping for a solution from both sides.

‘’I think in our past we were at Paris Saint Germain and with Kylian and I think I need to be conscious that I cannot talk, everything you talk is too much noise. It is a situation that is very delicate and one they need to fix in Paris with Kylian’’ said Pochettino partly.

Despite his team, France falling to Argentina at the World Cup finals in Qatar, Mbappe who has Cameroonian roots set a new record by becoming the first player since Geoff Hurst in 1996 to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final.
